The role of teachers in the new millennium has become multifaceted and challenging. Teachers are nation builders. They will need to cultivate social, moral and spiritual values in children. Teacher’s role as facilitators for social transformation will require to develop nationalism and internationalism in children and to prepare them to be global citizens through cooperation and peaceful co-existence.
